Overview

Our client is seeking a talented Data Engineer with strong Cloud experience to join a growing data and analytics team. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data infrastructure that supports analytics, reporting, and advanced data initiatives.

The ideal candidate is passionate about working with large datasets, modern cloud platforms, and building reliable data solutions that enable organizations to make smarter, data-driven decisions.

You will collaborate closely with data scientists, analysts, architects, and engineering teams to ensure data is efficiently collected, transformed, and delivered across the organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Develop and optimize data architectures within cloud environments.

  • Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and third-party systems.

  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across data platforms.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.

  • Implement and manage data storage solutions such as data lakes and data warehouses.

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance of data pipelines and workflows.

  • Contribute to best practices around data governance, security, and cloud infrastructure.


Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused engineering role.

  • Hands-on experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

  • Strong experience with SQL and large-scale data processing.

  • Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines.

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

  • Experience working with data warehouses and data lake architectures.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with complex datasets.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with modern data tools such as Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, BigQuery, or Synapse.

  • Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow or Azure Data Factory.

  • Experience with streaming or real-time data pipelines (Kafka, Spark, etc.).

  • Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.

  • Exposure to DevOps or CI/CD pipelines for data engineering workflows.
